UPDATE  2024: In person midtown location lessons are only available at PianoPiano studios---click here for more information.

Clients are responsible for booking the studio, after we have found common lesson time possibilities.

A negative rapid Covid test result is required within 24 hours of the lesson. If you test positive, the lesson will be rescheduled.

I am accepting new clients interested in classical or voice or music theater vocal training only.

Single Lessons are $150 per hour.

2024v NEW STUDENTS:
You must be committed to regular study. I advise a weekly lesson for the first month of study. I offer a discounted subscription option:

  • Prepaid package of 4 lessons $500

  • Payment in full is required for the discount rate.  Your schedule is set up at the time the subscription is booked. There is a 48-hour cancellation policy for each scheduled session, or the lesson counts as billable. All four lessons must be completed within 5 weeks of the start date

  • Payment options: Cash, Venmo, Paypal.Me (@MariaFattore) or invoiced from PayPal

Parents, please note:
I will consider children over 13 years of age if they are gifted or under professional management. A consultation lesson is required, and will be applied to the subscription
if the student is accepted.

Three of the best vocal exercises

  1. Lip trills, tongue trills, phonation into narrow tubes, humming
    What it does:

  • Rapidly engages Respiratory muscles

  • Minimizes upward force on vocal folds

  • Spreads the vocal folds to vibrate only the edges

  • Lowers the phonation threshold pressure

 2. Two octave pitch glides:

up and down using forward position
 vowels [i] and [u]

     What it does:

  • Gives maximal stretch to the vocal folds

  • Maximum dichotomy between TA and CT muscles, then coordinates the function between them

 3. Arpeggiated staccato work

      What it does:

  • Clean and rapid voice onset

  • Trains adductor/abductor muscles simultaneously with tensor muscles during pitch change

    ALLMUSIC.COM IS EXACTLY THAT!
